Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Design (and review designs and all drawings from EPC) all AC/HV (High Voltage) works, including:
    • AC wiring from inverter output to 11/33KVmedium voltage transformer and RMU
    • Complete civil, ROW of electrical transmission line, from inverter HV control room to the substation input bay of high voltage power grid
    • Direct, organize, execute, and coordinate all electrical activities required for the safely and efficiently completion large-scale solar power plants (50+ MW)
  • Coordinate with transmission line related works with grid agency (first relevant project PGCB is the agency) and internal team, electrical system planning, interconnection study, and liaison with agencies for securing the design acceptance and approval and lead the construction activities
  • Interact with electrical contractors during installation on any design, installation and commissioning related issues. Develop technical or process documentation.
  • Obtain local and state government approvals; including (first relevant project: PGCB, BERC, BPDB, or Electricity Board)
  • Manage the interconnection process (Grid Impact Study) and develop relationships with key stakeholders
  • Work with the EPC teams on specification and application of generation equipment, providing design inputs for the Electrical and other installation to the project
  • Coordinate with contractor, subcontractor, and other electrical supplier, SCADA, optic fiber, transmission line construction, supervision and commissioning
  • Supervision of low voltage, and medium voltage installations, testing and commissioning
  • Preparation and submission of weekly, fortnightly and monthly report on project progress
  • Responsible for installation, erection, commissioning and supervision of SPV projects. Coordinating all the phases of the AC solar PV project


  • Ability to be successful in an organization that is strictly compliant to FCPA (Foreign Corrupt Practices Act)
  • Deliver optimized and industry leading AC/HV designs that provide best in class LCOE for the projects. Drive all important decisions and work with other team functions (management, engineering, finance, legal, etc.) to deliver projects within schedule and budget
  • Sc. Electrical Engineering from BUET or any accepted and reputed university with 10-12 years of experience
  • Education and learning on the electrical design, trouble shooting, electrical fault analysis
  • Experience and track record in power plant & energy generation in Bangladesh, transmission line planning in public or private sector
  • Demonstrable experience in managing projects with tools such as MS Project, Prince II/Primavera will be an added advantage
  • Ability to work on-site and travel as needed
  • Location: Bangladesh (preference since most of initial projects are located there) or India
